Hospital medicine is the fastest-growing field of pediatrics, and in 2016 was certified as an American Board of Pediatrics subspecialty. Our ACGME-accredited two-year fellowship program seeks to train leaders in the field of Pediatric Hospital Medicine with a curriculum designed to meet the individual career goals of each fellow.
Program Aims
The fellowship program prepares future pediatric hospitalist leaders who:
- Provide high-value, safe, evidence-based care for hospitalized children and adolescents that is patient and family-centered.
- Improve systems using quality improvement methods
- Advance scholarship including investigation and dissemination of new knowledge, and critical appraisal published results
- Develop knowledge and skillset in medical education including practicing lifelong learning, effective teaching, and educational scholarship
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of pediatric hospital medicine
