Medical Students
Affiliations:
Advocate Health Care is affiliated with the following Medical Schools for Core Rotations:
- Midwestern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine (AMG, Christ, Illinois Masonic, Lutheran General, Condell, Good Samaritan & Trinity)
- Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Chicago Medical School (AMG, Christ, Condell, Good Shepherd, Illinois Masonic, Lutheran General & South Suburban)
- University of Illinois, College of Medicine (AMG, Christ, Illinois Masonic, & Lutheran General)
Elective rotations occur at the Advocate primary teaching hospitals: Christ, Illinois Masonic and Lutheran General and do not require an affiliation agreement.
Scheduling rotations:
- Students from Affiliated Medical Schools: Core clerkships and sub-internships must be scheduled through the medical school. Electives may be scheduled through the medical school or by contacting the Hospital/Department Student Coordinator directly. See Site Specific Information below.
- Students from Non-Affiliated Medical School: Students from non-affiliated schools are only eligible for 3rd or 4th year elective rotations at the sites listed above. Assignment is based on availability. Electives may be scheduled by contacting the Hospital/Department Student Coordinator directly. See Site Specific Information below.
Forms/requirements:
- Once a rotation is approved and scheduled, onboarding tasks will be initiated. All onboarding tasks must be completed a minimum of FOUR (4) weeks prior to the scheduled rotation start date. ROTATIONS MAY BE CANCELLED IF ALL ONBOARDING TASKS ARE NOT COMPLETED BY THE ESTABLISHED DEADLINE.
